FINCAMP Fitness Workshops

2013 Dates:  25th and 26th May 2013
 
 
FINCAMP, hell weekend, call it what you will but the idea is to come and swim. A lot. We will have 2-3 lanes booked for at least 6 hours of swimming during the weekend. We will be aiming to work hard, swim far with great technique and enjoy.  During the downtime we will perform dry-land sessions including flexibility, Yoga, Core Stability, swim specific circuits with strength and conditioning. Come and swim the kind of sets that have helped the following to faster easier Ironman swims:

Fitness weekends include:

Hard work, lots of swimming and tiredness. Coaches will be reminding you about good technique while under pressure.
The chance to time trial at pace, learn what it feels like to swim at sub 50pace, sub60, sub70 3.8km pace on arranged TimeTrials. For those working on Olympic distance we will also have Sub 20min, sub 25min sub 30min paced time trials. Come and learn the dark art of the Tumble Turn
We will also have the chance to look at the other strokes. You will learn what your critical swim speed is, what your current Golf score is, how to improve them and how to make use of them.

Final details will be emailed ahead of the weekend but we expect the weekend to generally follow a similar schedule to the box on the right.
